ok, I have not reloaded for 9-10yrs, lack of time to growing family. I have a Dillon 650 and just received my order of Sierra 69gr hpbt. I used to use IMR 4895 and W748 powder. Using the word should, Should I change to Ramshot Tac or another powder? What's the skinny now. My barrels are 20in Colt pencil, LMT 16 in M4'gery and DPMS 16 in heavy.

You should have asked this on Halloween.

I really like the way TAC meters. I've used a lot of IMR-4895. I found that the Mil.surp. metered pretty well, but the commercially made version had kernels that were longer and did not flow well. WW748 works well too, but I've heard people say that pressure can rise dramatically in the heat. I never had that problem; I kept my loads fairly mild when loading it. I think TAC would be the best all around, if you can find reliable source to buy it.

Re-15 measures better than IMR-4895, what I use for Sierra 69 gr HPBT.

Tac is also an excellent powder.

Varget or Reloder 15...but probably not going to work so well in a progressive due to being extruded powders.

I use the 748 for that exact bullet

Me too––it's ALL I use.

Have you noticed spikes or problems, anything noticeable because I had not known of any problems when loading before.
