Guys,

The ONLY differences between green followers and black followers are:

- green pellets instead of black pellets used to make them
- green followers have the anti-tilt leg on the front

GFs aren't good because they are green, or because they are made with a different kind of plastic (they aren't).  They are good because they correct the poor design of the black followers, which have no provision for preventing the rear of the follower from tilting down and causing feed problems.  The added front anti-tilt leg on the GFs corrects that problem.  The only reason they are green instead of black is to make it easy to identify if a mag has an anti-tilt follower or not.

I recommend replacing your BFs with GFs if you can afford to.  If you can't, at least get a couple in case you run into a mag that's having feed problems, especially if it doesn't feed the last few rounds in the mag correctly.

True, the military didn't recall BF mags, nor are they replacing BFs with GFs, but they ARE requiring all new mags to be made with GFs, so they'll all be replaced eventually.
