We get their 9mm, .40S&W, and .357SIG cousins, so why not the 25 and the 28?  I'm sure it's some import restriction, I just don't know exactly what it is or why there's a problem with those two specifically.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas.

Maybe there isn't enough steel in the gun to meet the requirements for import. That or they don't think there would be a market.

There is a point system used in importation of firearms.Points for this and points for that.....

Neither has enough points....

That points system is stupid!  It seems that they can arbitrarily rig their points system in such a way that they can ban any gun they want.

The BATF is all in favor of allowing us to use 45 ACP, but not .22LR?  What are they worried about?

I was told by a Glock rep that Glock doesn't think there's a market for their .380's here because they're the same size of the 9mm's and 40's. Make's sense I guess.

think about it who would get a .380 when you could get a 9mm .40 or 45 in the same size package

were better off without the .380 unless there in the badguys hands.

The ban was supposed to get rid of imported Saturday Night Specials.  It's just like the assualt weapons ban, they targeted a group of firearms that were easy to stigmatize.

OK I see .25, .32 and such as being Sat PM specials, but .22LR?  I just don't see that!  A .22 Rifle is one of the most begnin guns to an Anti.  Sure they want to get rid of them all, but the last two they will admit to are .22 bolt action rifles, and 20 gauge break action shotguns.

Maybe a .22 in a Pistol is that much different.

Nuts.

A .22 is benign to an anit-gun zealot?  NO WAY!

Anti-gunners hate them all (some more vehemently than others) but all just the same.  The .22s are used to "indoctrinate" youngsters into our hobby in their opinion.  To an extent they are right.

Even if that wasn't true, Sarah Brady would take you to task on an anti's opinion of a .22 rimfire round.  It was a .22 rimfire from John Hinkley's pistol that turned her husband into the drooling pseudo-vegetable mess he is today.

I can't believe such liberals were entangled into the Reagan cabinate.  His administration was better off w/o the Bradys IMHO.
