I saw one on assaultweb about a month ago. It was a mount to put a Mossberg 500 under the barrel of an AR (sorta' like a 37mm flare launcher or M203)

I have seen several mounts for the 870 but I have only seen this one for the 500. It was also not as expensive as the 870 mount.

That'd be a bit heavy wouldn't it?

Buy the 37mm launcher and get the 12 gauge adapter.....

The one I saw was made of all metal..looked sorta' well built and strong! It was for a Mossberg only. It has a mount that went onto the barrel and one that went to the rear of the shotgun (place the stock would connect)

Yea! I saw that too. I thought you grabbed it. Looked pretty sturdy.

I have seen a webpage for a shotgun mount, but apparently I don't have it in my favorites.
I remember it was expensive and stuck out too far. Don't remember which shotgun it was made for.
The new mini shotgun that they showed at the Shot Show would be perfect to mount under an AR.

From my understanding Serbu will be making a M203 style mount for their SuperShorty AOW - however it then will turn into a SBS and you owe $200.

The KMC/KAC 870 package is not cheap either @ 1100'ish and a $200 tax too

KAC makes the MasterKey. The 10" barreled shotgun plus the mount is in the vicinity of $2000.

The masterkey is a class III device too.

The Mossberg would have to be 26" long from the receiver forward to the tip of the barrel else you'd have a SBR. That's a lot of gun hanging foward of the magazine well.

If you get the class III the Masterkey would be about 5 pounds lighter.

The mount was sold before I had a chance to get it. I don't mind the $200 to get a SBS.

This was not the masterkey device..never seen anything like it before...oh well...I will just keep looking.

I may just have to go with the the 870 SBS mount and pay a small fortune. The mount for the Mossberg didn't even compare in price to that of the 870...granted it was used, but for the price it was sold it would have not even been close new

If you go to mr40mm.com he has the adapter for a 12 gauge round. It looks like a nice solid metal adapter. I'm still looking for the shotgun mount.
