what companies will 'warranty' and what companies say they can use are two different things.
The following companies, varying models will work : AAC Surefire YHM OPS Those are what I know for sure, and they seem to be the front runners now a days.. |

i think the reason the sure fire wont work with 11.5 or shorter is because the sleeve mount is too long and there's not enough barrel

The new M4-2000 YHM Phantom mount shoulders at the back of the threads and does not do any hangover like thier older QD mounts.

The AAC M4-2000 and SCAR-SD are great for 10 inch barrels. Nothing is more durable as far as I know.

All of the Gemtech 5.56mm cans will work. We warranty on barrels down to the 10.3" barrel from CMMG and also worked with LMT on their 10.5" barrels to add a small skim cut to the barrel so that they would work with the HALO. The 11.5" number comes from the days back when the Colt Commando with an 11.5" barrel was the shortest of the factory rifles. Now 10.5" is very common. The barrels to avoid are the 7.5" Kitty Kat or the Kel-Tec 9" pistols, etc.

I run an M4-2000 and a SCAR-SD on my 10.5" Noveske barrel. Zero problems.

Hey, I recognize that upper! It's sporting a Tac-16 right now which works pretty darn good on it. I never did get back to you to say thanks for the deal. When I get employed again I might even have to get a CH and bolt for it......LOL. Sorry for the pimp type photo, but just haven't taken a better photo since I got it from ADCO.
