Winter project is going to be loading up some 5.56. I've loaded over 30K of pistol but this will be my first venture into rifle loadings.

I want to load some cheap plinking rounds. I have 5K of the Wideners 55gr FMJ bulk packed from years ago, and Wolf SRM from about the same time frame.

I have buckets of brass I've collected over the years and have it mostly sorted. I have:

LC OFB Crimped (I want to save this brass for reloading higher quality stuff, 77gr SMK for example)
LC unknown firings
FC Once Fired crimped
FC unknown firings
Random mixed (small amounts of RP, PMC, WCC, Fiochi, etc.)

Which of those would you use for blaster loadings?

LC

some of the older FC had thinner webs and could fail

Anything that wasn't split or ready to fail.  I usually load on the lighter side for plinking ammo, save a little powder.  I guess the better question would be which ones would be best for high-accuracy loads?

Anyone?
