I'm building a couple of SPR type rifles for a customer and myself, both 20" barrels.

I'm asking this because I have seen post before in the past saying that quite a few bit of peoples triggers aren't resetting when shooting suppressed.

Basic specs for both of these rifles are they're using 20" match colt barrels, with the regular ol' gas systems.

We are both thinking about saving some time and purchasing a drop-in trigger unit, but need to stay away from the brands that won't reset while running the SPR's suppressed, especially during rapid fire also...... Just making sure is all good.

I have RRA two stage, Geissele two stage and KAC two stage in various ARs.  I shoot mostly suppressed.  Have put thousands of rounds down range with the RRA and Geissele without issues.

My Timney won't reset if I don't clean it often.  Probably around 800-1k rounds suppressed and the trigger will get sticky. I usually will have to rock the safety on and off to get it to reset. Not sure if Timney has a fix for it or not.  I need to contact them and see.

I've been running RRAs with no problems.

Both my suppressed SBR's have RRA two stage triggers.
I haven't had any problems with almost 3k through the one and about 500 on the other.
But I did take the one with 3k out and clean it at 2000 rounds, but it didn't need it.  It was just coated with carbon and sludge.

Someone fill me in here.

It's not making, to me, any sense for a suppressor to affect the trigger workings in any way shape or form.

If anything the over gas from a suppressor should HELP in resetting/cycling of a suppressed gun.

Or does this have to do with just the triggers getting dirty?

I've never had an issue with SSA triggers suppressed for the record.

It has to do with them getting dirty.
Then the triggers would have issues resetting or would loose their first stage.

I have had no issues with Geissele, KAC, Armalite 2-stage, Jewell or any manufacturer's factory FCG.  In fact, I have not seen such issues with any other suppressed AR-15s or AR-10s, and I hardly shoot unsuppressed at work or at home.

I have had no issues with Geissele on both a 5.56 and a 6.8
