The short bayo was issue by the time H&Rs were made. You can find them for 3o bucks or less at most auction sites.

If it's the M5 series you need, Southern Ohio Gun has them, brand new, for I think $20. I got one last time I ordered from them. Marked USM5A1 or something.

The M-5 bayonet is correct for your rifle. It also has the advantage, due to its method of attachment, of allowing either a muzzle brake or a flash suppressor to be attached to the rifle, while still allowing use of the bayonet. Smith Ent. makes, or at least used to make both.
