Hello all.  Does anyone know where I could find a replacement wood stock, NOS or surplus, for a Russian M44 Mosin ?
I did the usual internet search and could only find aftermarket.
Thanx........
It's a 1944 Tula if anyone's curious

A 1944 Tula M44..... If it is the original stock with tula markings on it as well as matching serial numbers leave it alone... Don't matter if it looked like a beaver chewed on it. Those were only made for one year, and a mosin collector will pay rather decent money even for one with a very chewed up stock.

According to 7.62x54r.net, out of the 4,000,000 carbines Russia produced, only 100,000 were Tula.  There are no refurb marks anywhere on the gun.  I'm sure Ivan did some work on it at some time in it's life.  The bluing isn't "refurb" perfect, but not worn out either.  Somewhere inbetween.  The stock looks original.  There are parts where the red shellac is worn off revealing the brown color underneath.  It is a war years stock, again according to 7.62x52r.net.  I can't find numbers of any kind on the wood.  All the metal parts are numbers matching though.
