Where can I obtain some knowledge and wisdom for assembling or getting my first? Recievers / kits? Purchase whole, or build up?  Is this the site or is there a better forum?
This was the place for my 15 and even a great help with my Garand but why stop there?

For your first m1a which will probably be a plinker definetly buy it complete.  THe cost for an unassembled one and to build one yourself are almost identical.
