The Wingmaster is a nice shotgun made the old way - polished blued steel, chrome bore, nice wood, aluminum trigger assy.

The Express is made as cheap as possible and still be a functional 870 - bead blasted blue finish (that rusts like a mofo), unchromed bore, utilitarian wood, plastic trigger assy.

Each version is priced accordingly. Both function about the same - its about pleasure/pride of ownership.

Wingmasters have nice wood vs. crappy wood or laminate.
Nice blued steel job vs. parkerized or bead-blasted and blued.
Better fit and finish and smoothing of internal parts.
Front bead sights on the Express are pressed in vs. threaded and screwed in.
Usually the Express has a plastic trigger guard  vs. aluminum or steel on the Wingmaster.
Wingmaster barrels usually have a lighter contour (thinner & lighter) and the chambers are polished more.

They use all the same parts, just more work done to the Wingmasters. Chevy vs. Cadillac.

Both are great guns.

I believe the Wingmaster is a high line / more expensive version.  I also think the  wingmaster series is rated for 2 3/4" only where as the express is rated for 3" shells

Express= you get less pissed off when you bang it against the bed of the truck.

Wingmaster= "Dammit, I just scratched the blueing"

1100/11-87= "Crap!, I have to clean the ports again"

The Wingmaster is meant for real men. The Express is for faggots and little girls.
