Does anyone remember the site address on how to clean 10/22 magazines?

I can't find it anymore.

I think the person recomended the spring get tensioned 4 flats.

When I dissassembled three Ruger mags one was 10 flats, the other 12 flats and the last I could not count because the hex thing slipped outa my fingers and spun.

So I assembled them at 4, 6, and 12 flats and will monitor their performance.

Any recomendations on spring tension?

Thank you.

Dan

It was probably Rimfirecentral.com. I spend a LOT of time there and they have a "sticky" about servicing a 10/22 mag here rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=19580&referrerid=3092.
Since there is some debate on exactly how many "flats" to tighten the spring, I go as tight as I can with finger pressure (10 flats on mine)
Hope that helps!

BTW, I use this screenname there also :D
Here's another place for good info, though I suggest more than just the "4 flats" tension on the springwww.gunsmoke.com/scot/guns/1022/mags.html

Thanks Paul.

I registered at rimfirecentral as vaquero and I could not locate the "sticky".

I'll see what happens with the magazines at next months plinking at Chabot.
