I just bought an AR15 from Oly.
I want to mount a 4x scope on the handle and a gun shop offered B-Square mount, 1 inch. rings included.

ACOG is unthinkable because of the cost. I want to spend about 300 USD maximum.

Another thing: I need to replace followers and springs on two M16 mags that I have (black followers are prone to make my AR15 to jam, already proved...) with green plastic followers. Can you indicate me a company that can send abroad those items?

thanks a lot...

The I.O.R. 4x42 M2 looks pretty good at around $350 MSRP.  See www.bushmaster.com/shopping/scopes/ior-b-10x42m2.asp

If you want to go to 10X I would recommend the Tasco SS10x40.  I have one on my AR and really like it.  See www.swfa.com/riflescopes/tasco/index.html

The problem with green followers is that they provide lousy light gathering capability.

Pantera,
Where you mounting this on a flattop or on the carry handle like in the picture?  I was looking at this scope for my flattop and I was wondering if the IOR High rings (I can't find the site where I saw these) would be enough to clear the front site post of my 16".  Has anyone tried this setup?  I'll look for the site URL where I saw those high IOR rings, Impact only has the lower ones.

O.K. i got it and have looked it over. Optics are not to shabby. its no Kahles but it is better than the standard cheapy scope. It also has 7 brightness levels for the reticule. Now i have to figure out what mount to put it on. Anybody know what a good mount is?  Thanks

Save up for the ACOG. Mine is a TA01.

No scope mount needed other than the A2 carry handle. Your already halfway there anyway!

I agree on saving for the ACOG.  I recently acquired one and I like it very much.  look into a used one at a good price.  I have the TAO1 as well.

Avalon01,

This is a nice set up. Is the handle mount see-through? What rifle is that?

Nuckles,

I like your setup. What reticle do you have? Is the one in the photo IR model?

My rifle is a post-ban Bushmaster 20 inch HBAR. A2 style, with a Harris BR bipod.

If anything else, it can get heavy!

Thank you, AV. I'm studying AR-15 scopes. I'm looking for a light, compact scope. It doesn't have to be full-bloom tactical scope with fancy reticles. But I prefer the scope to be light and bright. Just for the range use.

The TA01 is VERY light! I use it all the time at the range, works great!

It has a built in BDC, zeroed at 100 meters. Very easy to hit a target dead on with it. Optics are crystal clear, and everyone who has tried it loves it.

It's a big hit at the range, and I let people try it all the time. So far nobody has any negitive commets about it.

Built to last too, and has the same coating at the AR-15, so I just looks good sitting on top of the rifle.

Av.

Edited to say: Trijicon also offers a "kill-flash" filter for the front of the scope and a nice rubber ring for the front eyepeice. Thinking about getting both.

Edited again: The scope allows use of iron sights.

How about a 5x? I don't have a ATN scope but most people who have them seem to like them.
