I'm looking for a rifle plate carrier that can accept full 10" X 12" rifle plates.  The plates I have do not have clipped corners at the top.  They are a full 10" wide top to bottom.

Does anyone know of a plate carrier that will accept these plates?

I have contacted SKD specifically regarding the two carriers below but haven't heard back yet:

1)  Eagle Low Vis Armor Carrier (LVAC)

http://www.skdtac.com/Eagle_Low_Vis_Armor_Carrier_LVAC_p/eag.566.htm

2)  Eagle Plate Carrier Molle

If I remember correctly the Eagle L/XL plate carrier will fit 10x12 rectangular plates.

I believe they will fit in the front of the S/M plate carrier but not in the back.

I used a Blackwater Gear plate carrier for a set of 10x12 rectangular plates that I had with no difficulty. They also fit in a Condor compact plate carrier.

Might also want to check out the HSGI Wasatch. SKD should have these as well.

I bet a size L interceptor carrier would fit it.  Not the best solution, but for $30 @ bullet proof me.com (contract over run in Woodland Camo),  it would be worth a try.

Maybe the Condor Quick Release PC if you want truly inexpensive. Holds 10x13 and more MOLLE space than you can shake a stick at.

OP, what brand plates?  I've got a set of Kejo 10x12 steel plates (square cut) in a TT Modular carrier.
They fit, but it's a one-size-fits-all carrier, so they sit toward the bottom.
Another member on here says the Eagle medium PC will accept the Kejo plates.
His pics looked like it was a tight fit, but it worked.

The LVAC has a full-size plate pocket that non cut plates will work in. The Eagle Plate Carrier, Molle (EAG.551) also has a full pocket on it.
From our specs looks like the rectangular cut 10 x 12 plates will work.

SOS

Thank you.  I would like either Ranger Green or Olive Drab in size large.  They're not in stock so I filled out the 'email when back in stock' and I'll order when they are back in stock.

I read that thread also.  Even steel plates will have a bad day with M855.  My understanding is the only way to stop M855 is with thick (12mm) steel or ceramic.

Another member is getting steel for training and ceramic for SHTF.  I'm thinking of doing the same but using Serbian for training and ceramic for SHTF.  Maybe get steel for training as well.  This is purely for civilian SHTF use.

def ceramic, the main reason i say that is because M855 is cheap(hell i just placed an order for 1000 rounds myself) and lets say you have someone shooting at you with an ar-15, theres a high chance he will have M855

Ceramic is definitely the 'Cadillac' of body armor against rifles.

I just got mine today.  Like Dru said, they don't fit the rectangular plates.  I called Shellback and they said they could custom make the Shellback Tactical Rifle Plate carrier so it could accommodate the full sized plates but after that phone call and two follow-up emails I have not heard back from them.

The Shellback is very nicely made but I bought them to use for metal (or ceramic) plates with cut corners.  I can actually fit the Serbian plates but they won't take the last 3/4-1" (that's what she said)).  It can still be closed but I want a dedicated carrier that can accommodate the full sized Serbian plates.

I had one of the Condor ones... and I must say it was a great carrier EXCEPT the MOLLE isn't standard all the way across the vest and there are some places (mostly the outermost columns of MOLLE) that were not in spec and basically un-useable. Just something to think about!
