To me it appears he is gripping the 20 round mag in a fashion similar to the AR-15.

Looks like a piece of skateboard non-skid cut to shape and applied to a standard black Springfield stock.

I didnt say or mean a vertical grip.

The foregrip of the rifle stock appears to have a rubber insert, as someone pointed out it could be grip tape.
