I bought a bunch of brass billed as WCC Military .223. Most is head

stamped WCC 5.56MM. Is this brass similar to NATO spec? None of

it has cross in circle NATO mark, some pieces marked only WCC do

have that mark. I'm unfamiliar with this WCC 5.56MM head stamp,

any info is greatly appreciated. How does it compare to LC?

You are correct its Winchester, NATO, should have crimped primers. Good brass wish I had it!

Thanks for the info, will reload this with confidence.

Supposed to be once fired, but a few cases have nickel primer,

like 3 out of 500.

BTW-got this from Brassman Brass, 500pcs/$60 delivered.

They don't have that quantity/price now, but do have 1,000pcs/$120 delivered.

I had accumulated several thousand 223 brass over the decades, and I sold most of it except my WCC brass, and some LC. These are my favourites.  I use an RCBS pocket swage to get rid of the crimp, and it reloads beautifully...

You guys are all wrong!

Technically, it's Olin.

My understanding is that WCC w/o the NATO cross is Q3131... imported for training porposes.  Use imported ammo for training leaves more domestic ammo for operational use where the origin of Q3131 may raise concerns with certain host nations.
