I got the basics, but how good is it, and how do all the add on's attatch? I am looking for a way to carry all my gear in a pack, and have my mags on the oulside, I was thing of buying a a molle pack and the add on mag pouches, but none of the websites I went to had a clear picture or description of how it works.
Thanks in advance

The straps on the pouches weave through the webbing on the pack and then turn back upward and snap onto themselves. They are very secure. Even if they come unsnapped, they will not pull off unless you unweave the first strap or so. As for quality, stick with the good well known companies and you should be fine...Eagle is one of the finest. Imported knock-offs will not be stitched as well and may come apart on you.

Added to the others:
Go with something that uses the Tactical Tailor MALICE clips. These things are outstanding.
I avoid gear that uses sewn on cloth/snap attachments.

I'm kind of torn between the two. The MALICE clips are a PITA if you want to get something off quick, but they are definitely secure.

The MOLLE straps are usually pretty rigid and whatever you're attaching generally doesn't hang loose and floppy.

the URL below may be of some help:

(has step-by-step instructions on how to use/attach T.T. MALICE clips)

not anymore as these have been redesigned with release notches to allow for nail-lift

So as long as you have Swiss Army Fingernails you're all set?

MALICE clips rule, but are a bit of a PITA to get off without a knife or screwdriver blade.

But I don't trust regular MOLLE straps, so the tradeoff is worth it.

I can now get MALICE clips off pretty quickly after lots of practice.

I trust both 10x more than ALICE clips though.

Ditto that. I keep my nails pretty short, and I have zero problem with the new style ones.

Good to know. Thought I might have to run out and get some Tactical Lee Press-ons.
