Pacino used a SIG in that movie. I think it was the 551? or maybe 550. Great movie! Its been a while sense I've seen it... I should go buy it I guess.

I thought it was an FN FNC as well. Were the Sig rifles even available in the US at the time the movie was made? - I could be wrong - I'll watch it again sometime and pay more attention. Also, they switched weapons around a number of times in the movie.

Hey cool, "Heat" stuff. Some of the other guys who have been on here awhile get cranky about this one, but so what I love that movie.
I have a book by Gabe Suarez "Tactical Rifle" and he claims that a pic in the book is the actual rifle used in the movie and he implies that "Heat" was-I should say "could have been"- the inspiration for the Hollywood Bank Robbery. remtek.com/arms/fn/fnc bfmaat.com/notes/990810.html www.culturecourt.com/F/Crime/Heat.htm |

The rifle that Pacino used is non other than a Fabrique Nationale FNC. Not a SIG.
