To bad there is no Glock carbine that takes Glock mags.

Indeed..... But you can put a stock and a longer barrel in a Glock (with the appropriate paperwork of course...)

That's what I did after evaluating the options for a Carbine that takes Glock mags.... I realized that what I wanted was not only magazine compatibility but also I wanted Glock reliability and common spare parts....

Mech Tech systems CCU comes to mind.  It uses a Glock lower so it's probably the closest you'll get to a Glock made carbine..

My MechTech for a G17 just came in today.  Seems well made and stout.  I had it set up for a VLTOR EMOD and I'll probably slightly mod the foregrip to take a Magpul angled foregrip.  I'll put it through it paces this weekend.

Looking forward to your range report, I've had the itch for a while to pick one up but can't decide on the 1911 version or the Glock ver. Most of the reviews I've read have been for the .45 1911 version, and I've already got a Hi Point 9mm carbine, but my 33 round hi-cap magazine makes a pretty good argument too, and 9mm ammo is much cheaper. Seems the Glock lower would be easier to swap back & forth versus the 1911 too.

I have an Olympic 9mm Ar that takes Glock mags and a Kel tec Sub 9 (metal version of Sub 2000). The Olympic is a blast to shoot and easy to add accessories. I have had no problems with the gun. The Kel tec is a neat gun, but hard to accessorize and the sights are less than desirable. I also need to replace the mag release on the Kel tec.

Would you mind posting pics of your Olympic.  I have been thinking of getting one, but wasn't sure if I should go with them, or Lone Wolf, or one of the others.
Thanks.

Here's a pic of my .40S&W duty rifle, same as the 9mm minus the accessories.  With a G22 oem 22rd mag.
