Just submitted mine to ATF and check was cashed yesterday. Wondering if we're still at 6 months?

We're still getting stuff back that was submitted 6 months ago. But the NFA branch is just now getting into the applications sent during the panic, so it still remains to be seen whether or not wait times will increase due to the panic buying.

Although I dropped and broke my crystal ball I'd be flabbergasted if wait times haven't increased. I submitted my Form 4 on March 12th this year and I went pending on May 13th. I'm hoping to get it by Christmas by the latest, and if the stars align, hopefully sometime in October.

I've been pending since the end of Feb. They told me to expect every bit of 6 months.

Just picked up my Spectre II today. Sent off F4 and $200 on Nov 1. Was approved May 3 and the stamp was mailed 5/31/13.

So it took 7 months and a few days.

Yeah unless you're FL or TX or one of the faster examiner, you're going to wait 7 months or more, the faster examiners are doing 5 months and a week or 2.

I've heard 7-8 months from every class 3 dealer I know.

I am at 4 months today from my last check being cashed.

How are you guys checking to see if your check got cashed? Did you send in a personal check? I'm waiting on my first one and my Class 3 said I needed a certified check or a M.O. so I went with the usps money order....

You can send a personal check. I used a Money gram MO, and they have a 800# to check on the status of it. I would THINK USPS would have something similar, expect being a government entity they may charge a fee.

I just go on the internet and look at my bank account and see when my personal check was cashed:

01/24/2013 DIRECTDEBIT ATF NFA 0161 PAYMENT $200.00 - thats what it looks like

Also I sent this in on a Monday, 1/21/2013, you'd think they were on their way to buy a fix of crack as fast as they cash the checks

I'm surprised. I saw TX has 3 different examiners approving applications. I see that TX is working in early Jan pending while everyone else is just now in beginning of December,

Yea this is my first can / nfa item and the wait is killing me. I don't know what's worse waiting on this one or knowing it will probably be Christmas before I can buy a 5.56 can to get rolling through the wait

If your check was cashed 2/21, for the tax stamp. Your pending date should been either late March or early April. Now lets say as an example that your pending date was April 11, then six months from that your stamp on a form 4 would be at the dealer in October.

When I checked on mine which was cashed 4/16 it had not gone pending yet. I was told probably 2 more weeks and that current wait times were expected to be 9 months after pending date. No, that is not a typo, NINE months.

My last one was 210 days door to door.

I got that one in before Sandy Hook. That is almost 30 days more than my last transfer.

I would expect 8 to 9 months.

Have your serial number ready and call 304-616-4500. Ask them what your status is.

Called NFA today for something and thought I'd ask about my Spectre II that went pending on 2/13 and was told that wait times were now estimated/extended to 9 months. Also found out that a Form 4 I submitted mid-April has not gone pending yet.

this is absolutely epic-ly rediculous. it seems that we need more people working there. I easily know 10 people that can't find jobs....hire them.

so mad right now. so mad. I went pending march 12th, so that means DECEMBER now?! this is a crock of shit. I'm sorry....

Just got one back and it took exactly 8 months all said and done. Sent in on October 20th and I took it home June 20th. 6 month waits are a thing of the past for the most part :(

Same here. 8 months. Early November for me and I got it back last week. Which by the way... After taking it to the range this weekend it made the wait completely worth it. It was downright awesome. So hopefully that gives everyone waiting some hope and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel... It's just really far away right now. Ha

I just put another one in last week so I'm fearing I won't see it complete until march or April 2014. Pretty pathetic but based on the growing time curve it looks like its up from 8 to 10 months now total elapsed time.

Does anyone think this is just because of a surge in purchases? In my opinion this has to be their way of slowing down the process to discourage people to do it and also make us wait as long as possible to receive it. Maybe I'm wrong and suppressor purchases really are up 10 fold but it just seems overly excessive with the wait times now a days especially when you factor in the political climate around guns and "assault weapons" in general.

Not to put on the tin foil hat but with the stories coming out seemingly each month now about government targeting and going after people do I really want to be in an ATF database. Too late now but it def. concerns me.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Just called and got my pending date. My can went pending July 2, check cashed late April, and I was told to expect my can in late April now. So we are now talking a year turn around from check cashed to can in hand. That's freaking insane.
