I used to know an old Air Force guy who had a Welrod MK2, in .32 ACP. Looked like it had never been shot since the leather washers were still intact. How much would a gun like this be worth?

Depends on whether or not it had ever been registered.

If its registered it would go for a substantial amount of money if in great condition. What is substantial? The highest bidder at auction would have to tell you that.

What if it wasn't registered ?
Could he register it on a Form 1 ?

The Welrod would need to be destroyed to BATFE standards (pretty much, that means running it through a chipper) and then pieced back together like a jigsaw puzzle, and welded up again.

Would it be possible to destroy just the "suppressor" portion and keep the "gun" portion in tact? A new silencer could then be made and registered and installed on the gun.
