Anyone have the WAS Recon PC? Is it quality gear or something used by AirSoft shooters?
I'm iterersted in it because I like the side clipped vs a velcro cummerbund. Are there any other
side clipped cummerbund PC anyone could recommend?

Thanks

I have that PC, the reason I bought it was because of the clipped cummerbund.  It is built with quality.  I would not consider it airsoft junk.  Depending on your budget, have you looked at First Spear?  I may get one of their PCs.  They have what is referred to as tube technology for donning & doffing.  They also sell a retro fit cummerbund that I'm thinking of getting for my Recon.  Any questions you have or pictures you'd like to see of the Recon?  Let me know.

Here are some pictures of the Recon PC.  I received this about 6 weeks ago.  I have not outfitted it yet.  I'll be doing that after the first of the year.  Just decided on the plates which are going to be the  Highcom 3s9m 10"x12", shooters cut, multi-curve.  Pouches I've narrowed down to HSGI & Esstacs.

The first picture is of the entire PC with the cummerbund disconnected.

Picture of the padding/venting system they use.

Front panel that is attached by Velcro and ICW clips at the top.

Showing the PC without the detachable panel.

I'll post more pics of other parts in the next post.

Continuation of pictures.

Drag Handle.

The next series of pictures are of the shoulder straps and how you minimize/lighten this area.
First is the middle section which allows the running of comm wiring, water tubes, etc...

Next is the padded piece which is separate, so the shoulder straps have two separate removable/adjustable pieces.

In this picture you can see on the left what the shoulder strap is without either pieces vs. the right which has both pieces attached.  Also as a note, the shoulder straps are adjustable.

Next is the back side of the PC with the molle area lifted to show the adjustment of the cummerbund.

This pictures shows the IWC clips which on both sides of the cummerbund at the front of the PC for easy donning & doffing.

Overall I think this is a great PC that is well made.  I didn't see any fraying of the stitching in any spot, the Velcro is of high quality.  The multiple adjustments throughout the sides, back & shoulders are a great feature allowing for a more customized fit.  This is definitely not a airsoft crap POS.  The other item I may add is a First Spear retro cummerbund if I decide I want side plates.  I like the easy donning/doffing which is why I went this particular PC.  I have muscle/nerve damage to my right arm and struggle with the PCs that require lifting the front panel to remove the cummerbund.
If there is anything in particular one wants to know or would like a more detailed picture, let me know.

Thanks!

I plan on using the HS D3 chest rig. How about you?

No plans on a chest rig.  Not to say that won't change.   I feel like the PC would do, I have an extra chest panel so I will have two setups for my 5.56 and the .308.  I might get a 3rd panel for a 6.8 setup as well.

I mean attach the HS D3cr to it that I already owne. I like the idea of different panels for different calibers too.

oh ok, The panels on the front part of the PC are available to purchase separately.  I have purchased one additional one when I ordered this PC.  It comes with one standard.
