Yeah. Obviously Condor isn't going to be durable enough to be issued to Marines going repeated field ops and the reissued to another Marine doing the same thing for years on end. But for a civilian and the abuse and elements that a civilian will be realistically be subjecting their gear to, Condor stuff is built good enough for people who can't justify dropping the money on high dollar gear.

Make sure you select the loop option when ordering.

I figure it might come in handy depending on your attire.

I wish Condor would expand their Elite line.  I've been using a Frontier pack almost daily for ~4 years now and it's holding up great.  It's every bit as well built as my ATS RAID pack.

Mine was shipped on the 18th, a Friday, and landed on the 26th,Saturday.  It was supposed to be here on Thursday, but didn't get in the local truck in time. Luckily it came Saturday.  I will say that during this time, and the time a couple of weeks ago waiting for my holster, USPS did not scan, or update scans regularly. Hopefully it will get there today or tomorrow. The only thing I hate more that USPS, is USPS at Christmas!  Bit hell, everything got here, so I'm happy. Hope you get you belt soon. Post pics of your set up when you get it done!

Keeping it simple. Specter Gear belt, HSGI micro grip pad, 6360RDS, old school khaki Tactical Tailor 2 mag pouch, HSGI pistol taco, and a Surefire 6P. Just need to add a tourniquet.

I have a micro grip pad on their Cobra belt and love it. Previously had a full size Suregrip and sold it in days following a class. The whole time I wore that tire I was wishing I could shrink it down to a 1/4 of the size.  This is exactly what I was envisioning.

Blue Alpha update...

Never meet your heroes.

Replacement belt arrived and although they fixed the drunken stitching, they proved to me that they don't make these belts off of any sort of pattern. The belts are exactly the same "official" size and laid against each other, they are equal in length. New belt has way out of spec PALS loops on first and last columns. If you look at the bird's eye skinny view, they have different start/stop points for fabric layers. I'm keeping it b/c the issues don't bother me.

For reference, I stopped by my favorite gun store today and had a chance to look at / handle about 20 $200 HSGI Operator belts and about 10 $200 Blue Force Gear CHLK belts. Both of those belts surpassed Blue Alpha in quality of construction. The Blue Force Gear belts were pretty much perfect. Its a shame they have those stupid grab handles on them.

Anyways here are some pics of the BA belts (OLD top - NEW bottom):

Stitching is way better on the new one.
Attachment Attached File

Note the PALS end at the same point but the rest of the material layers end somewhat randomly.
Attachment Attached File

WTF? They don't have some sort of guide or instruction set?
Attachment Attached File

Check out the PALS length on the first column.
Attachment Attached File

Same issue, other side of belt. Last column.
Attachment Attached File

Keep in mind, you wouldn't know any of this from a sample of one. Again... Pretty much a whatevs from my end but I know a lot of you want "first time quality" when paying Tier 1 money for Tier 1 gear.

EDIT:

Pics fixed

EDIT 2:

Not trying to throw BA under the bus. Their customer service is as good as I've ever experienced.

Yeah, that ain't great. I ordered my BA belt about two weeks after they introduced it and got one of the earliest ones. Way better workmanship than that. I doubt it'll fail on you, but you're paying a premium price for fit and finish and you didn't get it there.

I know I've been blowing up this thread with a lot of posts lately, but you have to understand... I'm only doing this because I love war belts you all and I just want the best for me you guys.

The 6390RDS-2832-522 (for lefties) showed up today and I was too excited to wait around for 5 more days until my True North MHA shows up.

Holster info for those wanting an ALS for a Glock 19/45 + Red Dot + X300U A/B (or TLR-7A). This also works perfectly with the CZ P-10C if using the TLR-7A .

(don't worry... 7th Gen CAT on order)

The ALS RDS holsters are pretty awesome. My 6360RDS is for a Glock 17 and fits the 19 perfectly.

That TQ is a SOFTTW correct? Personally I prefer the SOFTTW over the CAT. Both are excellent and really just personal preference. My personal gear has SOFTTW and work gear has the CAT. The main issue I have with the CAT is when staged for one handed use the Velcro on the windlass retainer is exposed. When carried exposed the Velcro grabs everything and if it’s rubbing a shirt it’ll eat a hole through it.

Because pic thread here’s a 6360 for an M&P with the QLS fork, RDR plate, Eleven10 case, and CAT. This setup has worked very well for me. You can see the wear on the hypalon cover on the tourniquet. The tourniquet is accessible with both hands and protected.

I really like the Eleven10 cases. They are a touch bulky though.

Nothing wrong with gen 6 CATs, I stabilized guys just fine with em. Some spent a who knows how long cooking in a shipping container til I restocked my bag.
It'll stay good if you keep it stored right, or for training if nothing else.

@1iviper

Lol... I spent about an hour last night looking for holster wrap options. I was specifically looking for adhesive backed fabrics. I read that Gearskin isn't permanent. It can be taken off and reapplied repeatedly. I was thinking it would get hot and then slide off. Have you used it and if so, what do you think about it?

As for the Fastmag... Because I already had it on my old belt. A KYWI is a pouch with kydex retention. A Fastmag just cuts to the chase. What would be an argument for switching to something else?

i used the gearskin to wrap a holster a month or two ago and it seems like really good stuff , it's very easy to work with.  i don't think you'll have any problems with it moving around.  the longer it's attached the stronger the bond gets.

i was just curious about the fastmag.  they are good mag holders but it clashes with your pistol mag holders , like a woman wearing michael kors shoes with a coach handbag  i used to run one on my carrier for a fast access mag pouch but swapped it out for a kiwi. the kiwi's are pretty awesome , one of these days i'll probably swap out my tacos for them.

this was a grey kydex holster that i wrapped with the gearskin

Finally got my True North MHA adapter in, and my wife got me a new IFAK for Christmas.  I think this belt is just about finished.  I ordered the MHA as a factory second, because I expect it to get beat up anyways, but honestly, I can’t find any flaws in it.

The blue force gear belt is specifically designed for clipping in to a retention lanyard or carabiner for helo ops or a safety backup for military mountaineering.  Those aren't grab handles they are load rated hard points.

There's also a version coming that won't have that, and should be a good deal cheaper. I've been holding out for one. My Ronin Tactics is getting long in the tooth and I want to try something new.

Needed a break from current happenings so I tweaked on my belt for a bit.

Attachment Attached File

Installed True North MHA, replaced all black Velcro OneWrap with the same in Coyote and made myself a carabiner attachment point.
Attachment Attached File

Figured out how to mount my HSGI Blow Out pouch horizontally without loosing shear storage or much exposed hook Velcro.

Re-worked tail storage using more of the coyote Velcro OneWrap.

I like how the med pouch is mounted, but how is it getting the shears out? Is there enough curve when wrapped around you that they clear the dump pouch easily enough to not fight them coming out?

Installed True North MHA, replaced all black Velcro OneWrap with the same in Coyote and made myself a carabiner attachment point.

Figured out to mount my HSGI Blow Out pouch horizontally without loosing shear storage or much exposed hook Velcro.

Re-worked tail storage using more of the coyote Velcro OneWrap.

Lookin' good and thanks for the idea about the Velcro One Wrap--I see lots of use for this on my belt setup that's in the works. I ordered two yards of the Marine Coyote from Mil-Spec Monkey Store--along with some various ITW attachment pieces for other kit.

I can get them out due to the curve in the belt but it is not optimal. I’m ordering a few blow out pouches to play around with.

@AZ_SBR

That Burrito is growing on me. Can we get a pic shoot of that thing opened up, separated, etc.?

Anyone have any experience with the DAA Hearing Protector Clips? I picked up a set while ordering a set of sights from Dawson Precision but I have no idea if these things are useful/handy or just useless junk that will last a couple of weeks.

While we're at it, these look nifty:

And finally...

(cross posted)

Anyone owning a Velcro lined outer belt looking for more flexibility should consider picking up a HSGI Micro Grip Belt Panel ($24 on Amazon).

Mine showed up today and I paired it up to my Blue Alpha. Cool thing is I didn't have to adjust the belt in or out. It fit just as well as when I am running my BA Low Profile / Inner EDC belt.

I imagine the HSGI panel will stay in the setup 90% of the time, only being swapped out for classes, LARPing and SHTF.

Not being a smart ass, but explain that fast mag orientation to me.

I swear... This will be the last post for a little while.

I just remembered that I found a new use for OneWrap while I was messing around with my HSGI belt panel.

Ever notice how the HSGI Bleeder/Blow Out Pouch doesn't come with any "Medical" demarcation? Not even a loop panel.

You can run a loop of OneWrap through the 1" gap right above the buckle. Problem solved!

It's the little things... Stuff like this often brings me more satisfaction than opening a package containing a $XXX.XX "gotta have it" piece of new kit.

Yeah, you got it. The Burrito comes with integrated belt loops (they made some nice revisions with this latest version) and also two Tactical Taylor malice clips. The Burrito also comes with a small aLOKSAK waterproof bag, which is also made in USA. The medical items are mine; still need to get some items to replicate Coyote Tactical Solutions' med kit offering, but you get the idea. Also, need a snap closure loop to secure my sheers like you did. Nice touch!

Yeah, no problem. I watched some reviews of the Fast Mag before buying one and saw that it was able to run in either orientation. I tried both directions and found that when it was right side up, my forearm/elbow grazed it consistently. Upside down, it's like it isn't even there. I was worried it might dig into my hip or interfere with my pocket or stick out weird if I squatted down, but it's actually really awesome in that configuration. Mag removal is a very natural motion: pull downward to clear the Fast Mag and then a straight up into the magwell. I really like it.

Finished my Crye belt. I tried to keep things simple.

Kywi mag pouches
BFG micro dump pouch
Coyote tactical med pouch
Ragnarok holster on Safariland hardware
