OK. I'm not trying to be a smart-ass. But "Why?"
(with some training under your belt, many people think that you'd be much better off with a contact weapon than a .22, I guess I'm one of them) |

I am also thinking WHY are you looking for a really really small weapon or do you just shoot a .22 really good? I think if you can put a bunch of rounds into a bad guys head at 10 or so yards under pressure then you might be ok with the .22.
i have a S&W 422 and its fast light concealable and I can drill the head of a sillouette at 15yards but still I would rather have a bigger more reliable round than a rimfire 22. |

 Californians Seriously, I wouldn't consider anything less than a .380 for carry. And even that is borderline. |

Glock 22?
I think the answer to that would be "a .45" Carry a real gun, unless it's for assination purposes. A .22 would be a great contact weapon, then. |

My first thought is "Why?" but hey, that's your decision. A .22 is better than say, a sharp stick so if that's what you want then go for it.
So to answer your question, I would vote for a Walther P22. It's a 3/4 size frame similar in design to P99. It ends up being just slightly larger than a Glock 27. Good shooter, and they can be had for about $250.

Haemmerli!!! Nice .22!!! 10 rounds! Infinitely accurate (Guy hit a grape on the moon from Texas with 1 shot and a 50,000,000x scope)
All the badasses in Switzerland and all the neonazis in Germany use it! Proven service record!  Get in in red, yellow, blue, or black: (This is the short version).  Go for the long barrel version OR maybe this special model:  Then again you could go for the special SIG P210's in 9mm:       Ouch the above ^ hurt my eyes!!! PURPLE????  OR: get this .22LR:!!!!! YEAH BABY!!!

BTW: I definanetly want the short Haemmerli Xesse (But with a black grip not red). Cool gun, quite cheap. Now that purple P210....

I've ALWAYS wanted one of those.. now what they're going for by any chance? How much extra are the hardwood grips? I remember when they first came out that the trigger pull was something like 15-16 pounds???? Know if that's gotten any lighter? |

RE: the S&W 317 Airweight.
New over $400. Used from 325 to 375. Mine is the 3" with target sights. Makes a great bicycle gun. It thinks it's a 6" target pistol. Loads of fun. Double action pull is 7-8 lbs. Single action 4-5lbs. Never noticed a problem with the trigger |
