Jensen or Atlantic Firearms both dealers here.
Whatever they are asking if you want a new one. Look in the EE for a deal on a used one. No way. Unless you get one built on a JLD reciever by Jayson @ IGF No problems Yes Just buy one from a reputable dealer/person and you should be fine. |

And the quality of the JLD is as good and probibly better then the real HK.

Yeah right. That's why tons of guys change out half the friggin' JLD parts for HK parts. |

The JLD made furniture is crap. But thats only the slim handguard and the A2 buttstock. Most models can be had with a imported wide forarm.

JLD makes a hammer, sear and now they make a trigger too. That 3 US parts that could be changed out. |

and loose trigger packs and that dorky rear sight and the front handguard with no heat shield. Sadly it's still the best bet outside of a real HK or build from someone like Jayson. edit actually the magwells were fine on both of the ones I had. |

I just looked at a PTR-91 to buy last week and the mag well was definitely too loose. It had a lot of side to side play. Front to back was fine. I was concerned enough to start a thread on it here in the HK forum last week. I also e-mailed JLD to get a response from them. If it can be repaired by them I wouldn't exactly be overjoyed at having to send in a new gun for a warranty repair but I will likely buy one. My older (over 2 year old ) PTR w/o the flash hider is relatively tight in the mag well but its obvious some of them are being shipped with an out of spec magwell. |

Is there something going on with JLD? Impact has none of their models in stock and the JLD website doesn't even have pics of the different models anymore. ????

The fit and finish. The cheep stock and some have the loose mag well problem but that is about it. The JLD is not an exact replica and it has improvments like the heavy bull barrel, better welds and the $7-800 price. Now this is all up for debate but my HK91 lying next to my JLD I would honestly take the JLD over my HK. It just feels more solid and higher quality. |
