Can the Board suggest a way / method to keep ones shotgun (in this case a AOW) out of the way until needed ? I am running a armored vest and want to have my primary in hand but want to be able to gain access to the shotgun but kept out of the way until required use.....

I would assume that this is for breaching, correct?

Do you have it on a sling? If, so Eagle makes/made a belt mounted weapons catch, I am pretty sure that it was cordura covered aluminum with a velcro strap. It mounted to the belt and you could sling your weapon and the device would hold it in place on your belt.

The remington SRD (Shotgun Retention Device) may work depending on your setup.

When I ran 870s for breeching we would use bungee cords attached to the grip and made a figure 8 loop over our shoulders. Blackhawk makes a cup that goes on the belt that will keep the shotgun out of the way.
