Anyone heard of this? My uncle says a friend is selling one. Says it is a real quality weapon.

It is a quality weapon.  Sako action.  Only produced for a short time.  With the folding design they are quite unique.  I would love to have one if the price was right.  Watch-Six

although the Grendel pistols seem to have a questionable reputation not so the rifles.

The model number should be either the SRT-20F or the SRT-24.
There are at least three different calibers but the model numbers are the same.

I had one not too long ago in .308.  Bought it from an active "operator" who thought much of the rifle.

If the model on your uncle's friends rifle is different get back with us.

The stock should under-fold covering both the trigger housing and magazine.

As Watch-Six states a Sako action.

I have a SRT-20F.  Great shooting rifle.  How much is the one for sale going for??  I might want a second one if you pass.

Going to talk to my uncle tomorrow. It truly sounds like a wet dream. Evidently he has a friend(a doctor) who is going through a messy divorce and needed to get his gun collection out of the house. My uncle offered to help move the stuff to a storage place. The guy told my uncle he could have first dibs on the collection. My uncle told me the guy built his collection before the 94 ban and bought a couple or few of many many many different types. HKs, AUGs, ARs AKs(Yugo and Czech ((folders))). I'm gonna find out what's there and then empty my life savings.
