Well, what was the group?

Hey itchy, got a few questions.

1) what stock is that on your lower again? Didn't quite make it out.
2) What was with the extraction on the 3rd round?
3) how did the primers look on those shells after shooting?

Thanks for making the video. It is always good to see someones Far-50, esp in action.

That lil sucker looks like it could scope the dogshi& out of ya!

I put 4 rounds in 10" with mostly vertical stringing. My trigger sucks and I couldn't get comfortable on my fancy match rifle buttstock (**SPF**). I will be putting a Jewell trigger in before the next range trip. I was also flinching pretty badly on the last few, and am sure that I can do better. I think that the chamber is a little rough, as I would expect on a new barrel, and extraction seemed to get easier with each round fired. I am going to try to polish it up a bit which will likely help. The primers looked fine, without any signs of overpressure or other such badness. I am waiting for some 750gr AMAX ammo to arrive. I wil report again how it shoots with that.

Yeah...that is definitely NOT the stock you want with a 50!! I recommend the Magpul PRS Gen II with the rubber buttplate (AR-10 version) or an A2 with a delta-style cheekpiece and a nice rubber buttplate.

Let us know how the AMAX rounds do with your rifle. Sounds promising.

ORD out...

I agree with the previous post. That stock made my shoulder hurt watching you. All that energy traveling straight back through a 1/2" rod has got to hurt the old bones.

Nice video. Where is that range? A little more mass for a butstock will help.

That is American Shooting Centers west of Houston. I am going to switch an A2 buttstock with a lead weight in it, a cheekpiece, and a huge recoil pad.

I bought HSM 750 AMAX ammo from SURPLUS AMMO .com for about $4 per round.

Thanks for the vid.

Having seen a few now, and how stout they buck, I wonder if Chris might consider tweaking the brake design a bit?

I've wondered of there might be a change also.

Perhaps a ar50 brake is in the works?
