im forced to ask what kind of accuracy can you get out of your mini 14 that your gonna scope it?

I prefer the Burris 2.75X with heavy reticle for field use, and the Leupold 2.5X for punching paper.  The Ultimak rail is very secure, and with a little creativity a light can be mounted at 9 oclock.   Leupold "high" rings are what is needed for the scope mounting, any lower and the rear sight aperture blocked part of the eyepiece field of view.
