I would really question whether something like this is actually feasable for a DIY guy. The main problem you would run into is collimating it properly so that your input and output images would be the same. Its not like putting together a set of goggles unfortunately. |

That would be my next question, how to go about setting this up. I figured I'd start with the easy one first, whether or not the housings would even be available to begin with. Since it seems like this is a no-go anyway, it's become a moot point unfortunately.

Building a clip-on sight is not a DIY project. People can assemble a PVS-14 with the proper parts and have it sent out for purging, but clip-on optics and tube install are an entirely different matter.

lol, esp the UNS-SR. They won't sell you a housing, and the UNS-SR isn't plug and play. Just the equipment to assemble, collimate and test is quite a bit more than the unit cost itself.
