I just bought a Super Sniper Scope and want to know what height of rings would be best for it? Would 1 1/4 inch rings be to high? Any Brand of rings I should stay away from?

Thanks,

Steel rings and 6 screws is what i would recomend. I bought badgers max 50 for my ar50 and my nf has not moved at all. Use pieces of cardbord unber the scope to get your highth.

10 years and not one problem with the Burris Z rings (high) with 20 MOA inserts to get on target at 1000 yards.

Tell us about these pieces of cardboard?  If you need some MOA, you buy the right mounts and rings for that!  Do not put anything between your scope and rings!!!! Someone tell me if I am missing something here and should not be saying this? If I am wrong, I will come back and say I'm wrong!!!

What he is saying is to stack cardboard under the scope to find the right height for him, so that he can order the correct rings. To go deeper into that; get behind the gun in your typical shooting position and find a good place for you head. You may need to build up something in the cheek area to get a good fit. Then position the scope in your line of sight and select rings that will put the scope there. The end result should be a comfortable position whithout having to strain to look through the center of the scope. If all is good, you should be able to get behind your gun with your eyes closed, find your natural position, open your eyes to have a perfect sight picture.

Any of the rings mentioned are good choices although I prefer Nightforce. If the scope is mounted properly it wont move in a 4 screw ring.

ferret is correct about the 4 screw rings.  Also, I like rosin for the added security.

Remember––the LAR rail only has 12 MOA built into the rail.

You don't NEED $200 rings on your .50, but your rings shouldn't be hanging by the bubble gum either

The burris Xtreme rings are perfect for this.

The LAR does not have any MOA built in to the rail. The new LAR T-50 has 20 MOA built in to the rail.

He's wrong (or thinking of the T-50) or it is something new. My LAR does not have any MOA built in to the rail. There is also nothing on their web site that states this.

I was wondering if anyone had used the TPS 30mm TSR scope rings on thier .50 BMG? Do they hold up?

Thanks

You could put LOW rings on the LAR with an 80mm objective, that thing has a huge rail rise!!!
