How much do these stupid things cost I have to buy one with the purchase of my next gun in california, I am thinking of buying the lock then trying to return it a few days latter sound like a good idea?

they can run anywhere from 9-20 bucks. Its possbilethey might not let you return it. Im not sure what the stores policies are for that.

Hell man, no problem. Buy one of the cable locks, then give it to your child or a neighbor's to use as a bicycle lock. Not the best, but it'll suffice. That's what I've done. (My Browning, Mossberg and Beretta all came with cable locks. The Sig came with an impressive-looking trigger lock. What I haven't given away collects dust in a drawer)
