Wondering what the consensus is on these...

I have lvl 4 ceramic stand alones for my PC, and then a IIIA vest (not worn together) -- is the consensus to wear trauma pads for either setup?

Also wondering about sizing on these. They're never the same dimensions, so I guess the goal is just to get as big as possible underneath the plate, realizing there will be gaps...?

My understanding is trauma pads are worn with soft armor.  A Level 4 stand alone plate is a large trauma pad.

A trauma pad goes behind a rifle plate. They are not really required if you are wearing III-A soft armor underneath a rifle plate but they are always a good idea.
