Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - To Build or Not to Build? (Bolt Action Rifle)

I want a super accurate sniper/varmint rifle. I am looking into the Remington XB-KS but they cost over $1700. I have also thought about having a custom rifle built on an old action (Rem700) if I could find one. anyone have opinions to offer? Who to let build it? What to spend my money on to ensure accuracy?

Buy a stock Tikka and don't look back.  It will shoot circles around a 40X.
