Is this a "how to" video, or a "come spend your money here" video?

I bought "Concealed Carry" from Gunsite. Had about 15-20 minutes of useful info, though basic, then a 15+ minute segment on how great Galco Holsters are (basically an ad for Galco) then a "Dry Fire Exercise" of video of parking lots and alleys with a cartoon bad guy popping up that you are supposed to dry fire at. This really soured me on videos, Gunsite and these training places-there is even a new place that has a young boy (looks about 12) who is an "IDPA master" instructing people on combat pistol shooting. If I do gamble on another video Thunder Ranch would probably be the place I'd spend the money. I've heard great things about Clint Smith and that facility. |

I've never heard anything bad about Thunder Ranch in any way, shape or form. I can't imagine Clint Smith would put the Thunder Ranch name on a sub-par product. It won't be nearly as good as their physical instruction, but I can't imagine it being a waste of time.

I have this video. It is a "how to" type. It has some good info in it and it is done better than some others that I have seen. The video is about close range fighting with a rifle, not some sniper crap. Production quality could be improved, but IMHO it is worth viewing. Watch-Six
