So here is what I have been working on, a set of 3d Printed rail covers that replicate the round X95 IDF handguard, since its taking IWI forever to get them to the US. Thanks to another Arfcommer @BeerPimp on here for 3d printing the first prototype, And mailing it to me to allow me to make some other adjustments, These are designed to fit the SBR length X95 handguards and give it a similiar profile to the original IDF round handguard, I plan on having a total of 3 pieces, Two sides and a bottom.

For reference I am trying to recreate this:

Here it is so far, it needs to have a few touches added to it, the scallop cut at the rear and size adjusted to fit close to the gun.

And here it is with the Scallop cut into it.

They shouldve kept the original fore end. Their new version is hideous.

Those look really good!! You going to thin them down a bit?? I’m in for a set!! Those would even work on the standard length forearm and leave enough rail space open for a light to be mounted. FYI the x95 is made under license in India/Ukraine. Maybe we could get some round handguards from the Indian or Ukrainian manufacturers.

I have actually contacted both of those manufacturers, but havent received a response yet. I still have to make some final changes to the design before i have them printed again.

Has anyone looked into whether the Galil ACE handguards/rail covers can be adapted to the X95?  They look like they approximate the appearance of the round X95 handguards.

Thanks for trying it out and replying.  What didn't work, the rail covers or the full x95 railed handguard?

The Galil ace rail covers did not fit onto the x95 handguard. They hit on the top rail and were too short.

I use a Manticore Cantilever forend on my X-95 and I’d love to put the round handguards on it.

Currently I’m using the factory side rail covers to give it more of a traditional look.

I had that forend, however it caused the charging handle to be pinched when tightened.

It must’ve been out of spec because mine has been GTG. It doesn’t take much, even a millimeter or two, to screw things up.

Ok everyone, here is a preliminary version of the rail covers, I still have to get a final physical version printed to make sure they work but the length should be correct. I made the design public at Tinkercad if anyone wants to look at them.

Print it at your own risk, im trying to redo the grip grooves so that they are rounded and not square sided too, makes them a bit sharper.
