Hey all!
Just Purchased A new Remington OD Tacticle 870 12ga today it features a 20" Barrel with three shot mag extension, Speedfeed tacticle stock with pistolgrip and R3 Pad. A Super Sweet looking shotty that has a very confortable "Pull" to me.

Would like to know if anyone makes a heat shield for this weapon? I know there is some slight mods needed to install a shield on the mossy 590A1 so just wondering if anyone has installed a shield on there OD Green Remy and if so does it size up nice without any mods.

Will be adding a 870 Surefire tacticle light ,6 shell holder & Sling mount etc. asap
Any info would be appreciated on installing a guard.

did you get the 18" or the 20"? and is the trigger gaurd plastic on the new tactical line?

There are plastic or steel barrel shrouds available.  
Most require no alteration to fit the 870, BUT be warned that it will likely damage the OD Green finish.
At the rear is a "C" clamp that clamps over the rear of the barrel, at the front is a screw clamp that tightens around the barrel.
These WILL scratch up the gun's finish, ESPECIALLY the Remington OD coating.

In spite of ads, these do tend to move on the barrel under recoil and this will damage the barrel finish even more.
