I wonder if they would fit in the same place as MP5 mags (I have never seen an MP5 mag).

I use a chest rig from www.spectergear.com. The mag pouches are adjustable to accommodate .308, .223, 7.62x39 or 9mm SMG mags. I like being able to run the same rig, no matter which long gun I'm using. Their M-1 Mk1 or Mk2 has 3 mag pouches, each of which will hold 2 SMG mags for a total of 6. Alternatively, you can buy their MOLLE-compatible Universal Mag Pouches and attach them to whatever modular vest you prefer.
