Specter Gear makes an Ambidextrous MOLLE Compatible holster for the M9 and 1911 which we developed with them for Marine Corps Systems Command.   They have been procured and issued to Marines in Iraq.

One note:  Thigh rigs are great for those who do NOT walk alot.  But, if you are constantly patrolling, body mounting is generally best.
