Has anyone tried a Tactical Innovations (not Solution) 10/22 build?  I have been impressed with the quality and durability of their 10/22 magazines and I know they have been making 10/22 receivers for a while.  However, has anyone tried their rifles in particular their .920 barrelled models?

Wondering how they compare to a Ruger 10/22T.

Sorry, should have included a link to them; see below.

P.S. Someone has to know about them as they are on back order and they weren't just a couple of days ago.

Love their mags.  I've been debating whether I want to order one of their receivers for a 10/22 SBR receiver, and I'm torn between that (which will morph into a new gun) or using an existing 10/22 stainless.  Their design is really well thought out, especially with the hole in the rear of the receiver for cleaning.  I don't know about the rear charger; while an awesome idea, I'd be concerned about what happens down the road if the only company making spare charging handles discontinues them or goes out of business.

If you do this, please let us know how it goes

The part that has the most interested is that their receivers are billett and not a forging.  IIRC they are selling their billett receiver and matching bolt for $249.  Thought about going that route and then getting a GM or Volq barrel.  Was hoping someone had one and could let me know if that was worth pursuing or just buying their build.  Did like that they did give you options on the build too and not just here is rifle X, buy and install aftermarket parts later.

Won't be able to make a final decision or range report until after I get out of the sand box.  I sold my 10/22 to a CPT who wanted it to teach his kids how to shoot, so I am in the market for a new one but wanted one for benchrest type shooting.  My range is a former rock quarry and my favorite thing to do is help keep the vegetation trimmed one leaf stem at a time.

I am looking for a Hogue stock, heavy barrel, preferably with flutes and threads but the world won't end if the rifle is a good enough shot and I predfer to shoot bulk pack.

Would like to hear what others have to say, does anyone have experience with their triggers?  If they are on par with factory I might consider just getting the receiver and matching bolt and go after Kidd trigger.

Luther,

Did you get the bolt with the TI receiver?  Did you have to modify that at all?

Was the TI receiver a little heavier than a normal Ruger receiver since it is billet?  I ask because that would shift the balance point a bit.  How was the finish on the TI?

If you had to do it again would you buy the TI receiver or do something different?

Heck yes I would buy another one I'm thinking of building another 10/22 now.
