I was going to be purchasing a sa58 carbine is the duracoat (black finish) really worth it and also anybody have a standard sa58 with a stainless steel barrel .............. thanks to all

I know some folks who have the sa58 and all like them, I build my own FALs. That said, the Duracoat finish is a quality product.

Duracoat worth it. Stainless barrels will not rust, but they do not last as long. Stainless is much softer material that the 4140 DSA uses for it's barrels. I'd recommend a parkerized SA58 with a medium contour military grade barrel. It will be an amazingly accurate rifle and will out live you and your kids and your grandkids.
