(I was looking for the ammo forum, but I can't seem to find it, so I'm posting this here, mods feel free to move).

Is the Swiss 7.5 x 55 (GP11) considered FMJ?

I have a K31 and want to take it to my local range, but they don't allow FMJ.

Go here and you'll have an option of ordering FMJ and/or soft point ammo for this caliber.

Thank you, that is just what I needed.

Very high quality surplus ammo.

A range that does not allow FMJ is a range that gets no money from me.

+1, match grade.

I've gotten 2" groups at 100 yards with the factory irons.

That's good to hear.

I had glass on mine for awhile. I was able to hit shotgun clays set up on the burm at 200 no problem. At 100 on paper, the rifle would consistantly shoot 1MOA with GP-11.

I like to just shoot it with irons, so I took the glass off and sold the mount.

+1 on the Swiss Ammo. If you can find it at a decent price I would buy it in quantity, since I think the price is only going in one direction - up.
