Just saw this in another thread.

Wonder if anyone here knows anything about these and is willing to talk about it.

I REALLY hope the x400 is Class 1 and not vaporware.

Sweet, I'll definitely get a x400v.  Any idea on pricing.

If it comes in Class 1. I hope they've applied some of the low level lessons that Vic and LDI have learned over the past couple years.

No idea on pricing. Probably stupid expensive.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's as much as a DBAL I2.  Considering how much the X400 already is, swap the vis laser for an IR laser and a vampire head.....

What holster is going to hold those? That's my concern. Can't just swap the tlr1 and assume it works.

But I do want it. Was considering buying a dedicated pistol laser but this is tempting

Looks awesome, but fuck me, I'm still waiting on my X300 ultra holster

Anyone know if this is a class 1 laser or not yet?

I asked a rep today at the show and he had no idea about class 1. Guess we'll see.

The sticker msrp at the show was $399 for the 300v and $599 for the x400v-ir.

Understandable, as half of gun reps are clueless.Although $600 MSRP for the x400v-IR is pretty good.

For that price (and if it is Class 1) I'll buy the x400v-ir to mount upside down all the way forward on the top rail of my AR.  Hopefully the sight is taller.  If it is too tall OR if not class1, then I saw that Insight had a similar IR light/laser at SHOT this year.  The standard Insight Procyon that I have on my G19 has been flawless.

It's not.
You could try mounting it on a Mossie Midnight Mount to get it low enough.

Here's a picture of the x400v-IR from Lead-Slinger.com

Stat sheet reads 5mw IR laser

Somebody over on TOS said they saw both a C3 and a C1 version spec sheet, so here's to hoping. However, I can't see why anyone would offer something that high of a power level for a PISTOL laser at this point in laser development. Even the CIVL was made for a mil contract and it's .6mw

Yeah, doesn't make sense for a pistol laser. The x400 gn ultra looks like a winner, assuming it is priced similar to the current x400.

After buying a probably 600 dollar laser flashlight system, they probably assume you can afford to have a custom $60 pressed holster made.

True but it sure sucks waiting months to get the holsters!
