Anyone shot, and maybe even dB'ed, them both side by side?  I've got a 762 and am considering either a dedicated 556 can or the 300SPS.

TIA

I've shot them both side by side.

SOCOM 762 RC2:
This is their flagship can that is dedicated to total signature reduction, minimal poi shift, reduced blow back and built like a tank that will last a long time. This can is no going to be the best for sound at the muzzle. You buy this can cause you are not worried about chasing DBs but want the best of all the features I listed above.

SOCOM 300 SPS:
This is the most quiet can SureFire has made to date. When they built this they did it for maximum sound reduction at the muzzle. Because of this there will be increased blow back, increased first round flash and dust kick up and not as long of a service life because of the stainless steel being used instead of their proprietary high temp alloy. One buys this can because they are chasing DBs and want the best suppression with the same rock solid mounting system with minimal poi shift.

I will be buying a SOCOM 300 SPS for my 300 Blackout and my bolt guns, but will continue to use the standard SOCOMs I have on all my gas guns.

Glad to see surefire giving the dB chasers a can that meets their criteria. Supposedly it's the quietest one out there for a caliber or two. Not bad for "a flashlight company" ;)

Any chance you were able to ask them if future Mini versions of the RC2 are coming?

I'll withhold comments or judgement til I see independent side by side tests
