I am looking for a suppressor that I will be able to use/mount on an MP5 and a HK 9mm Handgun.  I have done research and know that the Gemtech multimount is a possibility.  This will be my first suppressor, so I need some help from people with first hand experience.

Questions and concerns:

Is there another option for a multi weapon suppressor.  (Must be able to use on rifle and handgun)

Looking for best option for my application, best sound suppression, ease of cleaning, ease of mounting to weapons.

I know that not one suppressor will be the best in all of these aspects, so I am looking for the suppressor that has the best collective combination of all of these factors.

Any Help is appreciated.

Thanks

You should also look at the SWR Trident 9 as well… I am looking to get one for the same reason… 9mm glock and 9mm AR

ah, you're right. the Evo-9 has that Triad adapter that would be compatible but the TiRant 9 version has yet to be released.

My brother has a Multimount and I have a Trident9.  They are so close I don't think you can go wrong with either.  Both are great cans.

+1 for the EVO-9. They make 3-lug and threaded pistons for it. Add a spacer in place of the spring in the booster and it can be run on fixed barrel guns like 9mm ARs,

Liberty Mystic:  http://www.libertycans.net/mystic.html

It's a full take-down can with a monolithic core.  You can shoot 9mm, 5.7x28, low volume 223, and  22LR through it.  Its available with a booster and for stationary mounting for your MP5.  NFATalk.com has some testing data on it with different setups.

My nextdoor neighbor is working getting one of these right now.

That is a nice looking suppressor, but damn it's expensive, $750 with no mounts. I'd still rather have a Trident with several mounts.

Maybe if I didn't have suppressors for all those other calibers this would appeal to me, but with that huge bore it can't suppress 556 efficiently and it's freaking huge for a .22 can. I do think it would make a very nice .300whisper or equivalent can.

Yeah, it is pricey.  But it's pretty darn quiet on everything but 5.56 and if a guy didn't already have a 22LR can and a 300 whisper can, this would be pretty sweet combo.  Those $200 tax stamps add up quick.  And so does ammo.  Fact is, spend what you need to to get a can that meets all the needs you can possibly forsee because the cost of the can is pretty small compared to the money you have in hosts and what you'll spend in ammo.  One of these Mystics may be in my not-so-distant future.  I just want a 308 can first.  Looking hard at the Liberty Freedom.

I've only had a 22LR can, a Liberty Kodiak TL, for a little over a month (although I've been playing with buddy's cans & MGs for years) and I've already spent more than the supressor cost on threading and ammo, not to mention the CZ 452 16" American my wifey just bought me.  To me, being able to take a can apart for cleaning (or rebuilding if you have a baffle strike), like this Mystic, is awesome considering I plan for my kids to have it when i'm gone.

Can't argue with you there, that's why I picked up the SPECTRE instead of a Sparrow when I got my .22 can. However, now that they are making a SS sparrow....

I won a Multimount from Gemtech last year...  I don't have a Sub-gun, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more versatile can.  147gn rounds are shockingly quiet too...
