Went out to my shop and for the life of me, can't find my damn scale, guess it is time to organize again!

Anyway, anyone out there have the weight of a fired .223 shell with just the expired primer in it?  Just an average is fine, I know different brands vary a bit, I just want to calculate how much a shell I will have to pay to a guy locally here selling once fired shells and he don't know how many he has!

Thanks.

Thanks, he says he has 65 pounds of shells with primer in them and he wants $40 bucks for them, so sounds like a pretty good buy, that works out to around 4800 shells +-

That is if my math is correct!

You could take that brass to the scrap yard and get more than $40
