Am thinking of buying a USR, but I hate the "thumb hole" stock. Will a standard green or black AUG stock swap onto the USR? If yes , is this legal to do? If no , what is the law on cutting off the "thumb hole" portion of the USR stock? Can this be done, if legal, as far as function of the rifle goes? If yes , are there any smiths out there doing this work and what is the approx cost? I understand the USR is much inproved over the AUG , is this also true? Lastly , if you have a USR , priced fair that is for sale please email me at : [email protected]       Thanks for all replys

I do not think it is a good idea to do that. Unless, you can manufactor some AUG parts in the U.S. to meet current AFT laws regarding making a dreaded post ban rifle. It is not a really good idea to do anything with the rifle.
