It's an HK91/G3 clone.

I don't know about the price, as that would depend on which kind of receiver it has.

The older models had Hellenic receivers which looked just like a real HK.

The newer models use a cast aluminum receiver which is ugly as sin. They also have an integrated rail on top of the receiver. I know of one person with a receiver like this, and he has some major issues with his rifle.

Go here: www.hkweaponsystems.com/clones/ for more information.

BTW, the mags may sell for $30-$50 at gunshows, but they can be commonly bought NIW for $10 or less.

Hayboy, I have one myself and I paid $720. It came with two mags. My paticular rifle had probably 1k rounds through it. Nice rifle. Accurate as hell. It's your call. I think when it comes this close it's all relative.

Thanks, I don't know very much about these rifles. What kind of thoughts do any of you have on the CETME rifle SOG International is advertising for $369? What is diff in inch and metric when they talk about these?

I won't pretend I know everything about these rifles, but they are Spanish made, German designed. CETMEs were manufactured BEFORE the German version of it, the G3. Though the CETME and G3 were both designed by Germans. Hopefully that makes sense. The CETMEs are very good rifles, as are the G3s, but you have to take extra precaution in buying these because they have been known to be inaccurate. Moreover you need to look for functionality in the components... sometimes they don't function i.e. autoloading, etc. I think it boils down to common sense, always keep in the back of your mind "you get what you pay for" I'm sure if you choose to go with this rifle you will not be disappointed.

I should also add that L1A1s are good buys in that the replacement parts are everywhere. Of course, there are many other reasons, but it is just that replacement parts for the G3 clones can be pricey.

You need to be VERY careful when shopping for these types of rifles. I used to have a Century L1A1 FN FAL in 308. It was ok, nothing wrong with it but I got tired of having to adjust the gas regulator every time I swapped ammo brands/lots.

Now I have a G3 parts gun with a H&K barrel & Federal receiver. It is recoil operated & thus needs NO adjustments, just load & shoot!

I paid $400 for the L1A1 & about $600 for the G3. IOW it's almost a crap shoot on whether you get a good rifle or a POS. Buy from a dealer so if you have problems you'll at least have a point of return should it be a problem.

Hope this helps.

Just out of curiosity, does any one know any thing about guns made by Special Weapons? there were some HK-94 clones made by them at my local gun store/B.S.ing hangout.

flash-hider, I had the unfortunate experience of T&Eing one of the Special Weapons clones with a FFL dealer friend of mine.
(1) Fit and finish....very crude, looked like barbecue grill paint. Alot of tool marks.
(2) Inconsistent groups.
Overall bad repo of a tried and true design.
