I'm looking at one of their two point slings for my 870 as seen here: Remington 870 2 Point Tactical Sling.

Anybody have experience with their slings or gear in general?

7.26.13 I received my sling and buttstock shot shell holder. I placed my order over the weekend so it took exactly five business days to reach me. I followed the tracking and thought it odd that it went to San Antonio before Austin. I'm pretty sure that was the USPS fuck up since the original delivery date was supposed to be Thursday. Shipping time was reasonable I'd say. I had my package within a week.

It's a very nice sling and surprisingly comfortable. I wasn't sure how I was going to like the way it attaches to the buttstock and how that was going to work while shouldering the weapon. It's great. No problems at all. Probably, the only thing I'll improve about the sling is I'll order a single shoulder pad from HSGI which are very comfortable. The sling QD buckle and the adjuster are solid. The sling itself is really well made. I think this is a great value for the money: simple, tough, functional. It included a GG&G side plate for mounting to the front of the magazine tube.

For anyone considering Specter Gear, first impressions here are that it is good to go.

I tend to prefer them.  Never had a problem with them at all, and I like their release system.  It keeps the slack clean and its quick.

I own some pouches, slings, and a chest rig made by Specter. Their gear is good to go, never had any issues.

Pretty much all my AR slings are Spectre Gear 3-point SOPs with the CST buckle.

They were tacticool once, but I think they're no longer the flavor of the week.  They have stood up to all the abuse I could give them (LOTS of class time and hunting).

Good to hear. I think I'm going to be ordering a 2 point sling from them and a buttstock shot shell carrier. Their stuff looked good. I just wanted to get some feedback from users. Thanks for the replies.

I had a three point sling of them for years.   It was good gear, never had a problem with it.  I was shooting roll over prone one day and it got in front of my muzzle on a SBR (couldn't see it) and I shot it.  That was the last of that sling. It was all me, the sling was great.

I replaced it with a vcas as i found one local asap when I needed it.  It did basically the same thing in a 2 point configuration.  I'd buy their gear again, no question.

I have them on a half of a dozen guns including my 870. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again if I needed another.

Alright. I just placed my order for one of their 2 point slings and a shot shell holder that works with their rear adapter.

Their gear looked like good quality stuff. You guys have validated my theory. Hopefully I get it sometime next week.

I have one sling by them and have been using it for about five years now. I have been very happy with it. I also know one of their reps personally. He's a great guy and it seems they put a lot of effort into their product.

I think it's a mistake to keep a sling on a tactical SG.  It's something to get in the way when using a CQB firearm., and possibly something extra for an opponent to grab.

Fine to have an easily attached/detached carry sling, but I'd want to quickly and easily detach same if need be.

The specter has a QD clip not unlike the VTAC slings. That is one of the reasons I purchased it.

SOP for the Brits in Northern Ireland was to loop the SLR (L1A1) sling from the rear swivel to the rifleman's support side forearm to prevent 1) the front of the sling being grabbed and 2) the weapon being turned on its user. A QD sling would be all right, but no sling would be better for something used in close quarters.
