Special weapons is a manufacture of HK clones and accessories for these clones/H&K's. I am inquiring to see if the SW mags are worth the money and if the are reliable. I have seen some recent adds for the POF mags for a few dollars more. I am considering the POF over the Special weapons mags.

What are "POF" mags?  Where did you see the ad?

Jake:

I've had very good luck with POF magazines.  I have 10 myself, and zero problems.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for everyones input. From what I have read the POF mags are built on HK machines in Pakistan. The mags are suppose to be the next best thing to german factory HK mags. I'm still interested in the Special Weapons mags, but I think I will try the POF mag first.

There was an add earilier in the EE for factory Gernam curved mags for $40. Howerver he is all sold out, but if you email him he has a few nicer mags for $47. I went ahead and purchased the nicer mag.

I just got my BW-5 FSA (does the "dance of joy") and it came with a 30rnd mag, not a 10 rnd.

I think it's one of the SW mags.  It marked:

 9mmx19
 FD

Which look like this (I think):

I have never used Special Weapons mags from SW.h  (This last weekend saw one for $40.00)

All the mags I have are maked at the bottom 9mm x 19  IE,   On their left side with the mag inserted in the firearm. These are factory mags as far as I know.

Now I have two 28 rd  curved  mags from CDNN  (They say 33rds I could only get 28 in mine).
I use them for matches. They have always worked for me. In my MP-5.  They were $19.99  or so.
Keep us posted on what you find works for you!!!hug.gif

I am currently waiting on my order for several factory mags. I have 2 straight "SD" marked mags and 1 curved factory mag coming in later this week. I also did not pay over $40 for any of the mags. The straight mags were $20 and the curved was $40. I suggest anyone looking for "factory" mags to watch the forums or post a WTB add.

I am still wondering how the curved SW mags or POF mags work? I have seen these mags on the forums and on Gunbroker for around $30. I would like to eventually get one to abuse at the range.

I have the SW (I guess) mag that came with my BW5 and four of the "SD" straight mags now.

Once I get a chance to try them out, I will post the results.

The curved mag sure looks cooler.
